Porsche announced the arrival in Argentina of the new Panamera, the second generation of the sports sedan that was renovated combining two aspects: the performance of a true sports car and the comfort of a luxury limousine.

With this transformation, Porsche improved the concept of the model, to get a four-door car evolved to the last detail.

Among the changes, their engines and transmissions were optimized, their chassis was perfected and their screens and control board were reinterpreted.

This luxury sedan will be available in Argentina in the Panamera Turbo and Panamera 4S versions.

All engines of the second generation of the Panamera were redesigned, have more power, while significantly improving their consumption and reducing emissions.

The Panamera Turbo mounts a V8 petrol engine, while the Panamera 4S carries a V6 also naftero.

These biturbo direct injection engines are accompanied by the permanent four-wheel drive system and a new PDK dual-clutch eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Panamera Turbo has a 4.0-liter engine, which develops 550 horsepower at 5,750 revolutions and a maximum torque of 770 Nm.

It accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.8 seconds and with the optional Sport Chrono that figure drops to 3.6 seconds, its maximum speed is 306 km / h.

The 2.9-liter V6 twin-turbo Panamera 4S has a horsepower of 440 horsepower that develops 550 Nm of maximum torque, takes only 4.4 seconds to reach 100 km / h (4.2 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package) and reaches a maximum speed of 289 km / h.

As for the design, the model measures 5,049 millimeters in length, 1,937 mm in width and 1,423 mm in height. It has steep shoulders, athletic flanks and a roof line that conveys the feeling of speed.

Inside, it has a high-resolution 12.3-inch touchscreen that belongs to the next generation Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system. It offers the possibility of being configured individually by the driver or the companion.

Through Apple Car Play can be linked with a smartphone and also incorporates a new voice control system that responds to the directions given.

The Panamera is equipped with many assistance systems that make driving more comfortable and safe.

The most important of these is the night vision assistant, which uses a thermal imaging camera to detect people and animals of a certain size, which projects as a danger indicator in color in the driver’s seat.

If new and optional LED mafic headlights are used, people who are beyond the visual field of the light beam are also briefly illuminated if they are in the driving range analyzed by the system, allowing the driver to react more quickly .

The entry price for the Panamera 4S is $ 340,000 and for the Panamera Turbo is $ 380,000.
